Platform & delivery engineering
At Contentstack I engineer Launch — the hosting platform behind 251+ production sites. My job is that they stay up, load fast, and cost less to run.
- 251+
- sites running on it
- ~4.2B
- requests a month
- 99.99%
- of the time, it just works

Sites I designed, built and shipped myself

01 Design, build & deploy
FolioBulls
A financial-services site for a firm guiding first-time investors through SIP planning.
Full ownership: design through production deploy, on a stack chosen for fast first paint on low-end mobile.

02 Design, build & deploy
Global Unique Engineering
A CNC precision-manufacturing site built to win industrial contracts.
Shipped on Contentstack — the same platform I engineer, used here as a customer of my own product.
Next.js · Tailwind CSS · Contentstack
03 Side project
QR Code Generator
A dependency-light utility that generates and exports QR codes entirely client-side.
Built to see how much could be done with zero server and zero runtime dependencies.
React · Tailwind CSS · qrcode
<Venky/>
04 Side project
This portfolio
Rebuilt from scratch around one idea: that the site should feel like it was made by someone who cares how the web is served.
Statically prerendered, ~250 KB of JS, zero 3D asset downloads — the motion is all maths, not megabytes.
Next.js · GSAP · Canvas · TypeScript

// about
The origin server
I'm Venkatesh — a software engineer in Bangalore. Six years in, most of them spent on the half of the web nobody sees: the part that has to stay up.
I like problems where the win is measurable. Pages that used to wait on a server now mostly don't. Load times down, bills down, and uptime holding steady while the number of sites keeps growing.
I also build and ship client sites myself, which means I'm a customer of the kind of platform I work on. That loop — building the pipes and then using them — is most of how I've learned what actually matters.
Outside of that: mentoring engineers, code review, and explaining infrastructure to people who reasonably don't want to think about infrastructure.
